LVS Center History:

The children of Lawrence and Vivian Stockhausen had an idea…. to donate a 14-acre parcel and building to The Threshold Incorporated, formerly Pick N’ Save North in West Bend, and to honor their parents by naming it after them. Their vision and financial contributions, along with many hours of donated labor have allowed the Threshold to purchase this property and to convert this building into program and manufacturing space. The family’s foresight has allowed our organization to become more self-sustaining by generating income through rental units on the property.

  • On March 29, 2012 members of the Stockhausen family met with Threshold to discuss donating the former Westwood Mall property and building
  • On June 6, 2012 the Threshold Board approved accepting the Stockhausen donation to purchase the Westwood Mall
  • On October 10, 2012 papers were signed and the deed was given to the Threshold
  • In January of 2013 remodeling began
  • On June 10, 2013 operations began in the remodeled space
  • On October 23, 2013 a community open house and ribbon cutting was held
