The Threshold Recreation Program has a long history of providing scheduled “after hours” and weekend activities. This program serves nearly 150 people annually.

With an emphasis on community integration, Recreation offers a variety of community-based social activities including:

  • Cheerleading
  • State & National travel
  • Knitting class
  • Fishing excursions
  • World cuisine
  • Night bingo
  • Bowling
  • Karaoke
  • Pizza parties
  • Dances
  • Movies
  • Video game competitions
  • Restaurant dining
  • Various group activities

Recreation offers different levels of participation, based upon individual abilities and needs.

The program goes beyond the “fun” activities. Participants are  physically active through sports, are improving their social skills, broadening their horizons through introduction of new experiences, learning team-building skills and gaining a sense of camaraderie.
